How can you contribute to the work of the Wildlife Bank?
We’ll continue with our work irrespective of any support we receive because it is the right thing to do. And we’re passionate about it.
But if you would like to assist us, we and the gorgeous animals and plants being protected, would be very grateful. You can help spread the message, support the green economy and renewable energies, recycle, donate money, help with research, buy a tree from us, or simply start planting in your own back yard. Every little action will help.
Are my donations tax deductible?
They sure are! Not only is the Wildlife Trust Bank a registered charity with the Australian Charities & Not-for-profits Commission, we’re also a Registered Environmental Organisation.
Because of this, we’ve got Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status and any donations you make to us are tax deductible. So a big Thank you for giving back to nature.

Where does the money go?
Please refer to Our Special Places to see examples of land purchases, rationale, and on-ground conservation projects that we are undertaking to preserve the wild for future generations.
How much does the Wildlife Trust Bank spend on overheads versus its projects?
Almost nothing really! Less than 2%: which goes mostly on the charity’s audit fees, regulatory compliance costs and hosting this web site.
It’s all about the mission: buying, protecting, studying, and repairing our land for future generations. So that’s what we spend our money on plus any donations received.
Do I get receipts for regular gifts?
If you’ve made a one-off donation, you’ll be sent a tax receipt shortly after. If you’re making automatic monthly donations from your bank account or credit card, you’ll get a consolidated tax receipt at the end of the financial year.
Can I donate land, shares or other assets?
Yes. We can accept land and shares. Please contact us to discuss.
Can donations be in lieu of gifts?
Yes, you can donate on behalf of someone in lieu of anniversary, birthday, or wedding gifts. Please include the person’s name in the ‘Comments’ field.
