Flora and fauna surveys conducted in this 1860-acre densely forested area and the neighbouring national park have identified significant biodiversity, landscape and cultural values.
Indeed, there are over 300 recorded indigenous flora species, 60 species of birds, 14 species of native mammals, 13 species of reptiles and 3 species of frogs, including the nationally endangered Northern Corroboree Frog.
